VDI and HCI - the perfect combination

With the COVID situation globally, much of the IT requirements in recent time were around remote workforce enablement. One such capability were around virtual desktop infrastructures or VDI for short. It is well known, that VDI is a choice solution for this, but surprisingly, theres still plenty of debate of what platform is best to host this workload.

I have always assumed that this discussion was done and dusted, not till recently when I was asked to explain to a couple of customers why HCI would fit best. So today, Iā€™m going to address this and I have done up a quick video of the perceptions that you may have with regards to this combination.

I am an IT Practitioner (my day job) that have been across multiple roles ranging from end-user, post-sales, pre-sales, sales, and management.

I enjoy everything that is technology and a big advocate in embracing new tech. I love taking things apart and understanding how it works, in the process appreciating the engineering that goes into it.

Sometimes, I take my passion at work and apply it to my hobbies as well aka cycling.
